Spike-and-recovery analysis

Spike your Test samples with different concentrations of your analyte to identify matrix effects or determine the precision of your assay within the assay range.

Defining concentrations on Test sample level

Go to Setup > Assay elements > Test and use the Concentration: Defined by stock solution element to define the concentration that is used to calculate the recovery for the selected sample.

The following image shows a possible setup:

Examples

The examples are based on the Dose-Response Analysis Package sample document 'Spike and recovery analysis'.

Interpolation plot of a Test sample with a medium spike

This excerpt of a document report shows results for Test sample TST17. The interpolation results are displayed in a data plot and as a table. The response data of all Test samples in the sample document is adjusted by an unspiked Control sample.

Interpolation plot for a group of spiked Test samples

This excerpt of a document report shows Test samples that have been spiked with pure analyte to a concentration of 40 pg/ml. The response data of all Test samples in the sample document is adjusted by an unspiked Control sample. The interpolation results are displayed in a data plot and as a table.
